Tarps, Canopies, And Play Sets...Oh, My!

Alright...Alright, you guessed it.  We are going to right about tarps, canopies, and play sets.  Who knew?!  Well, I bet you will learn some things.  For instance, did you know that almost half of all children don't get the recommended one hour of physical activity according to a YMCA survey?  You can guess, what can solve that problem, can't you?

Yes, you need a play set.  You also need one with a tarp.  From 10am to 4pm the sun is at it's most potent.  While we would recommend staying indoors during that period, we know it won't always happen.  So, make sure your children where high SPF sunscreen, and make it is used often.  Also, make sure they are drinking a lot of water.  You don't want them getting overheated or dehydrated.  Lastly, make sure they can get to shade for a breather.  A playset with a canopy is an excellent choice for this reason.  Not only can the canopy shield your child from the sun during some of their play time, but it also gives them a retreat when they need a breather or feel like they are getting too warm.

Whatever you do, keep you child safe.  While they are bound to get bumps and bruises while playing, there is no reason for them to get sun burn, heat exhaustion, or dehydration.
